Well done to the group of kids who went out and put shame to first team squad.

No surprise that they play exactly the same way as the first 11 and have a great manager inspiring them

They funded those 2 signings with a player they bought for peanuts and sold for the GDP of Uganda and bought those 2 players to fill gaping holes in their team.

I call that astute in how they bought a player under the radar who was discarded by Inter when no other big club so his potential, how ready made players did they buy world class, and how many would be deemed world class now in the team they have. That's the definition of astute recruitment.

So, a world record fee for a keeper, and a world record fee for a defender, is astute because they sold a player? lol

Think its about time we admit they are a superb team.

We got beat 5-2 by their second team and now the third beat us in the FA cup.

Once we accept how good they are and stop living in a dream world its due to VAR and drugs that make them into Wolverine we can move on.

Carlo needs time, which he might not get with the BAWK Geordies.

I hope our fans can see the error of their ways and repent.
When it hasn’t involved us I’m fine with acknowledging how good they are. The Leicester game for example. Don’t know if that’s due to living in Ireland where we don’t have the same tribalism towards other teams. If I was in the same city it would likely be a different story. Having said that it’s very hard to appreciate them when it involves your own team being humiliated in the process.

I wasn’t around for the Glen Keely game in ‘82, so this is without doubt the worst defeat of the lot (only a game that involved being relegated could be worse, which we thankfully escaped).

Ancelotti has taken charge of the most humiliating game in my lifetime. Losing to their reserves, on prime tv, and the first text message I get was a quote from a bloke who has been dead for decades (Shankly) about only two teams on Merseyside being RS and RS reserves.

The one game that involved them I thought it was safe to watch, I wish I hadn’t.

It's astute in comparison to the signings we make.

£140-150M well spent on them two is infinitely more astute than a similar amount on Sigurdsson, Walcott, Keane, Niasse, Tosun & Schneiderlin.

And it's much more astute than the £5M transfer and the £120,000 per week wages spent on Sandro.
