Live Music Thread

I live in Alaska....so quite obviously having the opportunity to see live bands is very slim. All we get here is bluegrass crap. Some local bands are ok, but that's about it. However, its only a 90 minute flight to Seattle from where I live, and that IS a popular city for touring bands.

I got to see a Kim Deal show earlier this year In September I get to see English Teacher, and in October I get to see Wolf Alice. So yeah, I still get keep my love of live music alive ;)

Expensive hobby. I live in Cornwall now which, concert wise, is probably very similar to Alaska. I normally fly up to Liverpool for concerts and justify the cost by catching up with family and friends. This week I'm seeing The Wombats and Sting and seeing Rick Wakeman in October.

English Teacher and Wolf Alice are 2 of my fave bands. Jealous mate. Who else have you seen recently.

The circadian light cycle is a very different beast up there in the high zones, he's talking about last September being this year. As for concerts, anyone seen NIN live? I've a mate likely going the co-op on Tuesday to see em.

Also, 'Mad Cool' in Madrid mid July looks value, Muse & NIN headline for £200 a ticket.

Went to go and see Catfish & The Bottlemen on Friday at Heaton Park.

Catish were late on stage, and Van was especially coy (as usual) but they were brilliant.

They’ve moved the stage at Heaton Park and is now at the bottom of a hill. It’s an absolute disaster to get to and from. The Oasis gigs are going to be utter carnage. Wish I got tickets elsewhere now.

Oh no, I'd happily forgotten about this. It's gonna be headline news for weeks. How thoroughly depressing.

Might not be your thing, but it’s a huge moment in the music industry.

My biggest concern is the absolute gimps who are going to be in attendance. It’s going to be crawling with idiots, head to toe in Pretty Green, chonging on balloon cannisters.

Yes, I am a music snob.

They'll make the news, could get in, couldn't get in, chucked out for violence and lemo, and then the other set, jasmine and prudence along with their new fellas, cuthbert and barnaby, and oh what thrilling hijinks they had over a pimms and a sing song. A summer full of this wretch.

I’m with you on all of the above.

It will be like feeding time at the Zoo.
