Austin and me have a look at it and struggled. I have never fixed it before, looks complicated though

You need anything else mate.
Ignore - in theory might be outside the terms of your lease, but in practise if the seperate 30amp fuse is there, don't have to.Just called a client (electrician) who does some work for a Housing Association to find out.

The housing should install it for free, in fact I think they'd insist on it because it needs a certificate.

Having helped him with the cooker this morning, it needs hooking up to the cooker power point. There's a proper space for the cooker in the kitchen and the power point is on the wall where it should be. Not knowing the regs as it's housing assoc I didn't want to touch it ?
Having been with him this morning I would say that the things he needs to make life bearable at the mo are :
Kettle / toaster
Telly / radio
Bedding and pillows.
Blinds / curtains and poles etc
If anyone has these ?

Has he got an aerial? I haven't got a TV but if he needs an aerial than I have a spare.
TV license is an issue too, might get away with it in the short term but don't want him fined.

I live about 30 seconds from Goodison & Stanley Park Sergei so I'm not far if you ever want a mate or anything!
Was thinking that if nobody could find him a decent Telly then maybe we could set something up through a crowdfunding website or something? If say 30 of us put £10 each in then you'd get a decent telly for that.
