Lisbon Game...Half empty GP?

Tuesday 16th Feb - 5.45pm kick off.

Elstone and the OS are telling people to try and get early and admitting its gonna be a "big ask". I think they know they're not gonna sell as many tickets as a usual European game, even saying the old "bring the kids" to make up the numbers...

I know there's a thread about the kick off time somewhere but....who thinks its gonna be anything less than a nightmare that day?

Traffic, getting off work etc. I think its gonna be a drab atmos and a half empty GP.

Hope Im wrong.

got our tickets, a lot of the fam. enc. dont turn up for the euro games, 8pm k.o. with kids is often a 'mare.

if we both go through it will happen again in the next round, it won't suprise me if it's us that get put out again. hope uefa have a compo plan sorted

The stupid thing is that its a work day AND it kicks off at the peak hour when that work day generally finishes.

So unless you get in the ground by 3:30pm 4:00pm, actually getting to it after that is going to be an absolute nightmare.

I will honestly be surprised if we get 15,000 in there....

Its half term and a reasonable ko time. Ideal for me, and my dad esp as he can't usually make night games due to being up stupidly early in the mornings. Can't wait!

Ive tried to work around it, but I just wont be able to make it. For 1 thing my Missus gets Home from work at 6pm. So unless I take all the kids, which would be a stupid, crazy and downright bad idea, not to mention costly. I aint going, I can droll over The Mout on Tv.

Yeah, took them to the Malaga game, but my Missus came then. I think taking all 3 on my own would finish me off. And I cant afford all of us to go either, still paying for Xmas 08 here.

I,ll be there with the missus aswell, she has come over with me about 10 times and we have never lost so good omens.

Surely there will be more than 15,000 there or is that just kenada_blue being negative again

. Its the knockout stages of the uefa cup ffs, i think most regulars will make a big effort the make it. Can you imagine how embarrassing it will be when the pictures of our half empty stadium are beamed around the world, the red [Poor language removed] fans will have a field day, i can hear it now "peoples club my arse" (n)

Im not being negative towards the club here mate, its out of their hands.

Its Uefa being nobs to give the "champions league team" the night game later in the week forcing us to play at a peak time when the majority of people are either in work or leaving work.

Anyone know the reason why the RS and Everton cant play night games on seperate nights in the week?
