Lionel Messi investigated for tax fraud in Spain!

All of the top earners are always looking to minimise tax; who wouldnt? Trouble is they can easily get taken in by, *ahem*, advisers who tend to push the rules a bit. I bet he had absolutely no idea how his affairs were arranged.

Loads of Prem players have been involved in seemingly legal schemes, which our HMRC are now pursuing.

Given that youth unemployment in Spain is 50% or so, I can see why they'd want to hector a young man that's the best in the world at what he does. Makes perfect sense.

Making someone pay their taxes is hectoring? I thought it was his legal obligation?

*sigh*
