Line up V Stoke

Show some balls and drop at least two of Baines, Distin and Barry. As it is all 3 will probably start.

Howard gets a game through the unfortunate fact there's no one to replace. I hope Stones and McCarthy get game time and that Barkley plays in the deeper role to speed our play up in the middle of the park.

Why is Baines getting such a ripping?

He was rubbish the other day, but only Besic was boss, everybody else was utter pony.

I did notice Garbutt was excellent, the way he sat on the bench was a joy to watch.

I think we're worried that we're going to loose Garbutt in the summer on a free. If Baines keeps his place even if when playing poorly then I don't think that sends out the best message.

Plus we really need someone who won't hit the first man.

Baines is the best Left Back in the league, Garbutt wasnt even the best LB in League One.

I would say Baines is the best attacking LB in the league no doubt but when his attacking is stifled by the opposition then he is not the best defensive LB in the league. There are better defensive LBs and dare I say better defensive RBs than Coleman. Combine attacking with defending and they are the best.

I'd like to see:

  • Mirallas back
  • McCarthy back
  • Stones back
  • Pienaar given a chance to reform his partnership with Baines down the left
  • Naismith played behind Lukaku where he has shown his best form
  • Barkley / Eto'o to come in second half if needed

My suggested Lineup.

Coleman- Stones - Jags - Baines

McCarthy - Barkley - Besic

Lukaku - Naismith - Mirallas

or

Coleman- Stones - Jags - Baines
McCarthy - Besic
Mirallas - Barkley - Pienaar
Lukaku

Howard
Coleman - Stones - Jags - Baines
Barkley - Besic
Oviado Naismith Pienaar
Lukaku

Stoke will come to stop us so the movement of Barkley & Naismith will leave room for Lukaku plus the pace & support of both Pienaar and Oviado to get around Stoke's defence.

He's 2 years younger than McCarthy, older than Barkley and the same age as Wilshire plus has played in the WC and been tasked to mark Messi and Bale and succeeded.

We are not talking about an academy player. He has also adjusted to the premiership now although I still think he'll get better. If Barry was performing then sure but he's not and his lack of legs is seriously costing us. I think it's one of the reasons defensively we look so poor this season.

It's time for the change. If we leave it any longer then the league season will be truly over.
p.s Who has the most yellow cards in the prem.? That would be Barry
