Start the second string plus the loanees. Gives the youngsters a chance and the first team a well earned rest after a terrific transitional season under the new boss. Wouldn't rest the loanees (except Barry) cos they ain't ours.

It will work - they players just need to get used to it. The way we passed the ball in the first 3 games of the season was not that good, but when the players got used to it, it started to work.

Playing 3 at the back allows us to play 2 stickers.

Next season teams will look at how we played this season and have a plan for 4-2-3-1 formation - we need a plan B, now we need to give the 3-4-1-2 a go. Barkley would play the 1 (in 3-4-1-2), as it is a attacking role (as Barkley cannot defend).

just a thought every one on here saying play the reserves/kids are they going to hull.because i wont be to happy paying £35 to watch our ressies. not for 1 minute i think roberto will play them.

Those saying play Vellios & Gueye seem to have lost the plot somewhat. Chances are they won't be here next season, Gueye can't even make our bench and the Greek Adonis couldn't feature for the Seasiders.

I'd blood some of the kids - unfortunately the U18s are playing a Premier League play off against Tottenham at Goodison on the same day, 5:30pm kick off, so there's some kids who'll be playing in that and not featuring in the first team squad.
