I always put salt on first thinking if I put it on second alot if it will just end up on the vinegar rather than directly on the chips and dissolve

Vinegar first. Chips absorb the liquid creating a perfect surface for the salt to adhere to.

Salt first, wash it off with vinegar. #Fail
