if i can work out how to do it on the cheap(y)
be interesting to see prices, with being close then it might be better not to fly to avoid the departure tax cos that will probably make it the same sort of price as italy, whereas the ferry is quite cheap.
tickets will be scarce though

I'd like to go over but like you said its gonan be hard getting tickets, i doubt someone like me could get one.
 

usually plenty unofficially last season , alot got turned away in alkmaar i believe and tickets cancelled. there was a few available outside at brann in fact i had an unused one, think that was cos of alkmaar though.
 
Driving from liverpool early Thursday morning, Flight from Glasgow - Brussels (32 pound return, 8 pound card charge on Ryanair =40), then train from Brussels to Liege. No Hotel, back to Glasgow 11 Friday morning)

19 trains a day from 'dam, 3 1/2 hhours , 39 euros

i reckon i can do it via 'dam with my airmiles, for about £110 with ticket
cos taxes are about £30
train 25-30
ticket

it cost me about 90 for west brom with fuel and carpark
