Good debut for Liam despite the result. His manager's verdict:

“I thought Walsh was excellent. I thought you could see what he was all about. He’s a real good footballer, he’s got awareness, he’s tough, he hit a couple of big tackles, and he put his head in.
He can go home proud of himself.
Walsh is a good little project for me, given that I was a midfielder myself."

Hope he keeps it up!

Me too, but I'll be honest, I'm going to fume when he develops into a top player for someone else.

..despite playing for Everton, he said his favourite player is Stephen Gerrard.

I think the quote was "what players did you watch growing up" and he mentioned Gerrard, but mostly focused on Iniesta. He pointed out his dad was a Red, so he was forced to watch him a lot.

..I think him and Gerrard are from Huyton (the same area of Liverpool) so that’s another connection.

Look he may have been a secret Red the whole time. The RS had the lad Jordan Rossiter from the age of like 8, and he and his dad were and are Mad Evertonians. ST holders.
