lots of people dislike him, maybe not that much on this forum though.

he's both the most popular driver in the world and the most unpopular, bit like man united !

Looks like he is actually off to Mercedes.

Quite surprised at that considering Mercedes are no where near contending for the championship.

Perez in a mclaren excites me though, that boy can drive.

Can't believe this. Actually feel like crying. Wish Maclaren had gone for Di Resta, think he's done really well this year and would love them to be all-british still. Perez is pretty ace tho...

If it wasn't for them he'd never have even made it anywhere near Formula One and the lifestyle he has today.

They are arguably the best team at present and he's gone and turned his back on them, terrible.

Really? You think a guy who lost the title in his first season by one point, was a champion at 23/24, and has only been beaten in the Champ by his partner once wouldn't have made it without their interest?? Please...

And they may have the best car now, and at the start of the season, but it hasn't been the dominant force I expected and the team in generaly have been poor this year imo, as other people have pointed out...

If Ron Denis was still at Mclaren i have a feeling Hamilton would still be there but its pretty obvious that Whitmarsh prefers Button to Lewis. Signing Jenson was Whitmarshs first major decision as Mclaren team principle, its stand to reason that he feels more inclined to back the driver he went out on a limb to sign.

This. As much as Button is a Whitmarsh guy, I don't think that is much of a factor here. Maybe i'm wrong tho...

Does anyone on here, NOT like Lewis Hamilton?

Personally I've seen him do some really really silly things when he's driving. Him and Maldonado is excellent to watch if they get to race each other though.

Yeah, there's a fair few people who have posted against him on here....
