There are so many superb quotes from that awesome actor.

This was an instant classic.

I haven't watched this for years.....I couldn't remember that, brilliant

Note to self, don't eat lunch whilst watching funny gags

The reason he's one of the comedy greats isn't because he was inherently funny or a stand-up, but because he could deliver a line flawlessly and make a semi-decent joke into a legendary one.

If you read the script for "Airplane!" you'd expect it to be utter [Poor language removed] tbh ^^

Did anyone watch Police squad?

They only made 6 episodes. Which is a shame.

Mayor: Now Drebin, I don't want any trouble like you had on the South Side last year, that's my policy.

Frank: Well, when I see five weirdos, dressed in togas, stabbing a man in the middle of the park in full view of a hundred people, I shoot the bastards, that's *my* policy!

Mayor: That was a Shakespeare-In-The-Park production of 'Julius Caesar,' you moron! You killed five actors! Good ones!

The TV show was better than the films by a long way just so funny at a time american comdey was waking up and entering a golden age this little show led the way.

A one trick pony of an comic actor but what a trick it was given the right material he would have me in tears of laughter, however all too often he was given rubbish and not even his talents could save some of the car wrecks of films he was in.

I think this sums up how great his delivery was. That line had me in stitches watching it, but reading it, it sounds quite mediocre:

"Who are you and how did you get in here!?"
"I'm the locksmith, and I'm a locksmith"

I'm going on a Police Squad binge, in memorium!

Just crying here watching some of those clips.

It's amazing that Airplane is 30 years old and catch phrases from that movie are still around today. For me, my favorite part of the movie right here:

I found this too which was cool:

Watched Airplane! with my missus the other night. There's just nothing else like it, there must be at least 150/200 gags that make me genuinely howl in that film.

"A hospital, what is it??"
"...It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now."
