Lescott....

I wonder if he will be welcomed back? Didn't get a clap today when they read his name out and there were a few scattered boo's.

I'd be happy to see him back to be honest. Distin can't play forever and Jags works very well with Lescott. If they are playing together regularly again, I can see them becoming England's first choice CB pairing

If we were getting Lescott, what would we do with the other CBs at the club?

Jags - keep
Heitinga - sell
Distin - 1 year contract as back up
Duffy - loan?

Heitinga will be in the last year of his contract and would be third choice, so I imagine us selling him. With Distin as first choice back up we would have exactly the same situation as we currently have.

Taller than PJ and he had a bit of pace as well and hence played LB well. Not as fast as SD but still a good fit alongside PJ so I'd be happy to see him back if his wage demands are sensible. SD cannot surely continue to defy his age. Preference though would be a younger, tall, fast and mobile CB but where are they with our Budget? Duffy should be given a chance but he does not appear as mobile or fast as needed in today's world other than when you play lesser teams with a bulldozing CF.

on SSN with the england squad shown Lescott stood with Baines and Osman talking and laughing deffo think he is coming back in the summer with him no longer first choice at citeh.

I noticed in the tunnel of the City game he was talking to more of our players than his own!!

Of course might not mean anything but he clearly is still mates with loads of our players.

Come back Joleon, I want you and Jags at centre back again.

Actually, I'd rather a Sylvain Distin who never aged, but you'll do instead Joleon.

I must have missed something regarding this. What happened?

My memories are pretty vague on it, but something happened on the pitch (?) one time we played City and Seamus was fuming at Lescott for some reason. Neville tried to calm him down by saying "he's a mate" and Seamus apparently said "he's no mate of mine" haha.

<3 Seamus.

I love Seamus. His attitude to football and our club is perfect.

We need a CB to replace Distin, Lescott would be the ideal choice, other than that someone like Taylor or Dawson
