Lescott....

I just think that he's still good enough to command a similar wage to the one he's on at City if he were to leave close to or at the end of his current contract. It's important to remember why he left - a doubling of his salary. Money talks for this feller.

He'd have to take a pay cut wherever he went. He'll be on silly money there and nobody could get close to matching it. I'm not so sure that money was his prime motivation. He had an opportunity to win Championships, compete in Europe and play with some of the world's best players. It would be a rare individual to turn it down. And, if he is driven by money, he'll just sit in the reserves at City for another year and collect his wages.

I hope you're right and that he comes back, but we spend too much time here wishing for the return of former players.

It looks like we could have a different manager next season who might have different ideas about who he wants anyway.

Distin has more recovery pace but gets himself into trouble in the first place with his lapses. Jags and Lescott are a very organised pairing and don't let a lot past them. We could do with Joleon's goals as well.

If City do change managers the new man could just as easily feel that he wants to bring his own players in.

Lescott's age is a bit of a concern but we've done well with 'mature' defenders under Moyes and Distin was over 30 when we bought him.

When Lescott and Jagielka were Everton CB's, they were the best partnership in the Country. Id take him in a heartbeat for £4m. Plus he apparently wanted to come back in January, so if given the chance in the Summer he'd jump at it.

It wont make any difference if Moyes is interested or not. Moyes will be gone come the summer so another manager may not want him

Great defender, but will go to Sunderland or The barcodes for the money IMO

Buy him for £5m from Wolves, sell him for £24m to City and buy him back for £4m. Happy days! It would be odd that 3 out of our back 4 would have returned to the club, since Jags and Baines left as youths.

That would be odd actually. I'll just give Anthony Gerrard a shout to come and fill in at right back.
