Jagielka / Lescott / Distin / Duffy.....not bad at all....but imperative we get the average age of our centre backs down.

Dont necessarily agree with this- Jags 30, lescott 30, Duffy 20 and Distin 35 if we were to get Champions league football in the next two seasons then we could afford alot more- get teh players in to get you there first.

Would only entertain the idea of a permanent. Heitinga goes, use his cash with a super cheeky cut price bid of about £5m. If by some miracle they accepted it, he'd probably feel a right tit and would be more inclined to take a pay cut I imagine.

Players who go to City must be realistic and acknowledge they wont get parity elsewhere if they want first team football.

I'd certainly say your right mate & you'd know better than most but how many players would entertain a pay cut anyway for the Privilige of moving to everton ? There are ways round problems like that but talking players giving up millions of pounds isn't an easy sell.

David Maddock (Daily Mirror) friend to the club - writes up the most detailed article that i can remmber on our pottential transfer movements before any other paper....either he got stiched up by someone close to the club or he has run the flag up the pole on behalf of the club.

As far as I can see Sheeds and Foxy are not having the Lescott thing so unless something changes that looks a non story. The two french lads - 15m quid ..well unless we are selling someone and getting another loan or we are forcing clubs to take drip payements then I can have it for now at least.

I honestly don't think he'd improve us too much, Distin is an ace left-footed centre-half, just not right for a January transfer, maybe one to look at in the summer.

Why would they loan though , what would be in it for them ? They stuck to their guns over having no interest in loaning Johnson and loaning a player back to the club they spent over £20m buying him from would damage their 'brand' as well, it might happen but I dont see a loan.
