No one has exactly covered themselves in glory over Joleangate but if he stays and plays then he will always have my support, maybe not wholehearted support but I would never boo one of our own players.

I can't work out why he was even at the game in such an obviously prominent position right behind the dug out, if his relationship with DM has broken down so completely?
If he was in as much of a sulk as everyone said then I would have though that the last place he would be was at GP, smack bang infront of the cameras.
He was suited and booted like Yak and Mikkey and looked pretty relaxed.
If I was on my way to City and I'd fallen out with DM, I certainly wouldnt have been there - whether I'd been ordered to or not.

Perhaps he doesnt want to incinerate all of his bridges:huh:

These are strange times indeed!

Yes i would still say that. what he has done is unforgivable IMO.
Im entitled to my opinion, as are you.
If you are prepared to forgive him that is fine. I however value this club more than that. I cannot forgive someone who first asked to be made unavailable for selection. Then disrespected the club and manager with his attitude towards him and training. At a time of clear need, when we lost at home heavily in the first game. When the pressure was on us to perform to advance in Europe. He was not there for this club. He deserves no supporters respect for his actions IMO.

This. And Rep.

It's all bollix this "he hasn't said a word" and "we've only heard Moyes version" lark, if someone lied about me, I'd be the first person to open my mouth immediately and get it sorted bigtime. Only the likes of rats, mice and snakes are quiet and crawl into holes. :)

If you had been wronged by someone's utterances, would you be quiet?

SAHA SUPPORT FOR LESCOTT

Louis Saha does not believe Joleon Lescott has done anything wrong in asking to leave Everton and has called on his team-mates to focus on matters on the pitch.

Lescott is looking to quit Goodison Park following interest from Manchester City and recently saw a transfer request turned down by Everton boss David Moyes.

City have had two offers for the England international rejected over the summer and are tipped to make a renewed bid before the close of the transfer window.

Moyes left Lescott out of his plans for the Toffees' Europa League win over Sigma Olomouc on Thursday night after being disappointed by the defender's attitude.

However, Moyes remains hopeful of keeping hold of the former Wolves stopper, despite conceding that the 27-year-old has his price.

The situation has also led to Moyes claiming it has disrupted his preparations for the new season, but Saha feels the players should not be affected by the issue.

The French striker has no problems with Lescott's desire to secure a move to City and does not believe the matter should be used as an excuse for last week's 6-1 home defeat by Arsenal.

"I don't think he's doing anything wrong," Saha told Sky Sports News.

"All I'm saying is I do think as a professional we should concentrate on our job and that's a tricky situation for him and the club.

"We should have done better in the game on Saturday and have nothing to do with what's going on in the papers."

Hadnt thought about Pienaar in the midst of all this Lescott nonsense . Bit worrying that really . If we dont win anything this season I have no doubt he will go .

Pienaar? I have missed something. What happened with him. You mean not signing an extension?

Do you constantly have an umbrella at hand mate? That dark cloud that continues to follow you around must be depressing.

Pienaar's going nowhere this year, he just want's to earn his worth while he's with us - fine by me.
And as for next summer... If you love this glorious team of ours then one summer of worry is enough to give stomach ulcers - two and you get angina, so take it easy on yourself.

As I qued for a brew tonight ( No ale rule is a killer ) Lescott flashed up on the tv sat hunched trying to look not arsed . " Fcuking ungrateful gobsh*te " spat the spotty youth to my right but I couldnt help thinking that he was witnessing a united front in the shape of this magnificent 4 - 0 win . Make no mistake it could have been very different because for the first 20 minutes we were lost and marking shadows . But I thought considering alot of the players were playing out of position the lads responded excellently and did all we could ask for at the end of whats been a very dramatic week .

Moyes will be made up with this win and the way it came about . I now have alittle more faith with how things may go . We get the Russian in along with Taylor and the littl e Argentine and things suddenly start to look a whole lot different .

Before I neck this can of Becks can I just point out how fcuking splendid Stephen Pienaar is . Everton hero . Him and Baines may aswell have been born twins such is their growing understanding of each others play .

Keep the faith my fellow blues (y)

It's just a shame that Arsenal game ended up the way it did, dented the general good feeling a lot of us had.
Then came the knee jerks.
Confidence is so important as the 2nd half showed.
We are still carrying the same deficiences that we had last season, except this time we have 3 first teamers all back in time for Christmas, hopefully.

Yes. Keep the faith (y)
