Christ, the Osman brigade are back. One game where his pooness isn't at the forefront and he's suddenly a hero and game-changer again. He's better on the wing than Naismith or Barkley are admittedly and he does add a little bit of the balance we've been sorely lacking for a while yes, that I'll give him.

However, he still shouldn't be anywhere near our strongest XI going forward and anyone who genuinely thinks that his absence has been one of the main reasons for our terrible season or that he's been the most important for us over the last 10 years then you've lost the plot.

Don't think many would think that, a lot just think we've been lacking a midfielder with a bit more guile and creativity about him. And for all his faults, Osman is one of our more gifted technical players.

Curious, because honestly I dont know...but what is our record when he has played this year? We kind of seem more coherent when he's in.

Leon gives us that little sprinkle of stardust which has been badly missed. That creativity in and around the opposition box gives us much more of a cutting edge.

We'll need someone of similar attributes to him and Pienaar to come in this summer.

Osman is one of the few players who have movement in the final third. But his weakness is the ability to last out a game. He did look quite sharp for ninety min though.
