This annoyed me as well:

The lad's getting interviewed and Osman has to go and try and hog the limelight, after giving a crap performance.

Cheap shot Bill.

If you think a player performing below expectations should not be criticised than so be it. If you don't agree that's cool, but telling us we are not supporting Everton for stating our opinion is comical.

GOT exists so we can express our views and debate our differences.

IMO Osman is being played out of position and as a result letting the team down.

Below is link to the 2nd Norwich goal. Watch the midfielder go past Osman. This is not a one off but an example of many I could pick out throughout both preseason and the game against Norwich, where his defending has let us down. Fortunately not every missed tackle, poor tracking back has led to a goal.

Not personal but also not setimantel. If Osman moving on at age 32 allows us to bring in player that adds more value to the squad, than so be it. Don't expect anyone to agree.

AGREE; slow, shrugged off the ball far too easily...should be benched...

I don't think Boss needs anyone making him feel even more awkward in front of a camera. Actually, it'd be better if he just responded to any interview question by doing his little dance.

Ossie's never really had it physically. When he's playing well he's tidy enough, but he's a clear weak link for us right now.

I spent about a grand and a hell of a lot of time travelling and watching Everton last season, i 'support' the club more than you ever have or will.

Having said that, Osman was and has been utter crap in central midfield for a while. Doesn't make me any less of a fan for pointing that out.

People posting their opinions on a forum, what a novel idea eh.

Good post, in response to an utterly terrible post.

He's been poor ever since his England call up last year bar a few games. Sick of watching him in an Everton shirt.

I wish he'd just disappear. Sick of watching him whinge when he's shoulder barged off the ball. Or watch him jog back as we're being attacked as he's just too slow to even break into a sprint.

Surely he'd make a good signing for a lower end Premier League club, or even QPR, they're desperate for somebody like Leon Osman.

....he's not started well but I still like the little fella and think he has a role to play. If that role is from the bench then it means we have a decent team.

You seem to be having a go at people for criticising a certain player or writing them off, yet after last seasons game at Reading you slated Coleman, going as far as to say he should never be allowed to start a game for the club again.

Doesn't really add up.

No, what really doesn't add up is people just having a moan for the sake of having a moan. I'd rather they just keep it to themselves Tipp rather than come on here and bless us with their over the top moaning. I said it once and I'll say it again. Evertonians in my opinion are really bad at this relative to other club supporters. Why is that?

And I don't ever recall saying Coleman should never start a match for Everton ever again. Perhaps you could link that to refresh my obviously poor memory.

Debating is one thing. Bitching and moaning like kopites is another. It just gets tiresome. The posters are different but it's all the same. Let's have a go at the player(s) who had a poor match. Constructive that.

You also apparently didn't read my initial post where is stated that "Osman should be a squad player at best" and "...had a poor opening match and poor preseason."

But then there's no need to come on to GOT and state the obvious is there.

...and in other news, TX Bill gives not one hell as to what Everton's number one superfan says. Getting it wrong since day one on GOT.

Class.

Oh, wait. Predictable.

Which part by the way? The part about how he's supported the club more than anyone else on here or the part about how he's not any less of a fan for pointing that out.

But feel free to respond with your own reasoned opinions if you think you can possibly come up with one.

I haven a clue what your memory is like but anyway, after the Reading game you tore into Seamus saying "you didn't want to see him at right back again " either on the bench or on the wing. You seem to be very upset about people berating Osman when you have been guilty of it in the past yourself, just with different players.

How do you know that Evertonians are poor in terms of moaning about our players compared to other clubs, there could easily be far worse fans than ours without you knowing.

Oh FFS did you have to do that?
