Continued his form from last season, rather poor in pre-season, we've seen more from Barkley and I think it's time Osman is used from the bench. Gave the away a fair bit and the amount of times he gets tackled on the ball through being slow on it is painful.

I think it's obvious he won't play as many as he has in the past. We've got more creative options than we've ever had before.

I'm made up. A current England international will most likely be on our bench.

TBH, he looked fantastic against Blackburn. Not as good against Juve and Real, but the quality of opposition has probably had something to do with that.

I think that he has a place in the squad still.

he's on the downward slope, but with a new 2yr contract to cushion the landing.

All things being equal he should not get a dozen starts this season

He's really not up to it anymore.

Loses the ball all the time. Looks like he's running in cement and strikes the ball like Douglas bader.

Time to phase out quickly.

been dreadful for six months now, like some kind of mystical being, whose presence can be felt on the pitch, but without any physical state, the England international formally known as leon Osman should be a bench warmer

Interesting point, ever since his England call up, he's had a gradual down turn in form. Cursed shirt no doubt.

Why does there always have to be someone to hate?

Leon Osman has been a key part of our team for a decade.

And all some of you can do is ridicule him? Grow up.

Never a truer word spoken.

I'll never understand why a fully grown man can continue to shoot like a fanny.

Granted he's good for scoring two or three great goals a season, but his all-round play is not good enough any more and he should be fighting for a place in the first team, now being a shoe-in and first name on the teamsheet.
