Only way to make it worth his and our while would be if he used it to troll other players and celebs.

Will send him a nice tweet later

If he replies, RT's or Favourites it, he shall have earned my respect and adoration

That's how this twittering thing works

Even if he has a bad game I'll say "Yeah, Ossie was pants today, but at least he re-tweeted me once"

I have a feeling it will happen before then, a lot of hate directed Ossies way off some.

I don't rate him and never have. Never understood all this "unappreciated gem" that the media make him out to be. To me he's always been a bang average player who's capable of great game every now and then but nothing more.

Still, the way some of our fans abuse players over social media is disgusting. If you're really P'd off with them after they make a calamity, just unfollow them. No need to send vile messages.

Although I agree with you the problem with twitter is it's full the public. And let's face it, Joe public is an idiot!

I think it is sad that Football players have to be worried about joining Twitter because internet tough guys think they are immune to belittling a stranger for nothing more than having a bad game.

He'll be ok so long as he doesn't skin a rabbit ........

Actually, I'm hard put to remember when he last did.

When young Ross Barkely had a bad 30 minutes when he came on as a sub away at Tottenham last season the abuse he got was outrageous.

I would never send tweets good or bad to any player.

I'm sure players are told never to respond to any tweets good or bad, so dont be expecting an answer.
