You have quite inadvertently helped support my view.

A different view or perspective from a user, which appears to be against the forums 'geist', and it is quite simply shot down.

Mogwai talked about openness and intelligent conversations. Yet as other people have mentioned on here, many are too quick to rebuff others.

In the majority of cases, posting on other forums will antagonise as the majority of views are antagonistic in nature; polar views.

I do rate Vardy. Few of the lads on your forum saying that they can't wait to see him up against Jagielka is a bit far fetched though. Seems as if an average World Cup where him and Baines took most of the slack for a poor defence has led to people forgetting that he's been fantastic the last few years. Midfield battle will be interesting but I'd have to hope Barry/Besic/McCarthy/Gibson will be able to boss the midfield with the addition of Barkley a bit further up the field.

lets be honest here, we always seem to have one of the best defences in the league, we keep much better players than vardy quiet.

it's looked bad in pre-season, but our first choice back 5 haven't played together at all and it's been a constant chop and change in front of a young keeper they don't really know.

Your players will be either absolutely buzzing or cacking it. They'll underestimate us. You'll try the same strategy you tried against us last time, but we will be playing very differently.

Yeah we will sell out every game as there are only about 4k seats available to general sale after us selling loads of season tickets and the demand for big away allocations.

Darren Gibson is a tremendous midfielder.

Many people underate him. His only issue in the past three years is injuries. But since we have Barry McCarthy and Besic now the pressure is off him. So he can stay fitter now by rotation.

He frustrates a lot of people due to him sometimes trying to do too much but he's great to watch and plays with his heart on his sleeve. I think he's great

Cracking player Gibson mate. He's a bit like Gareth Barry in that you don't appreciate him until you see him play week in, week out.
