While not strictly legal here, it is tolerated as long as it is in a brothel/massage parlour. The brothel owners (usually ex prostitutes themselves) pay tax, have regular checks on the girls health (both physical and mental) and enforce strict rules on what is and isn't permitted.
And I don't think they are just for ugly people, one of my wife's friends was a prostitute and says that most men are just after some kind of sex which their wife won't do, or the excitement of doing it with someone different.

Whether we like it or not, it is not going away so why not bring it out in the open, have it taxed and ensure the girls are healthy and not putting themselves at too much risk. Having said that, I couldn't imagine the thought of my daughter ever going into that business.

If people want to exchange money for sex then why shouldn't they? It's their body and their money. Issues arise when people are being forced to do things they don't want to. That should be a criminal act whatever it is they're being forced to do.

Its a larger issue. If a woman wants to become the leader of a country she can be. Likewise if she want to become a stripper/porn star/prostitute then she can be. Same rules apply for men too.

And what about porn. Women paid to have sex. Just in this case there is a camera involved. Again, it is the culture that needs addressing, not the women.

Agree with this, women being trafficed for the sex trade is a seperate issue and is wrong whether the prostitution is legal or not.

Controversial maybe but SOME women chose this way of life as it's quick , easy money for them....... they set themselves a target of earning x amount of money in x amount of time...... depending on where they are in the pecking order ,,,it can actually afford them a very comfortable living....
