Prostitution is legal over here in the En-Zed. Seems to be a fully functioning society and it isn't a massive orgy.

Fact is, prostitution is one of the oldest jobs on Earth. It will never go away, so why not take steps to make it safer. Plus, no one gets hurt from blowing a load (unlike drugs, where an OD can mean a free trip to the meat packing plant to become a Tesco burger)

One of my best friend's mother was a prostitute, trust me when I say I would gladly punch every John in the world until my fists bled. It's a horrible buisness and not one we should be encouraging.

The girl in that case gets to decide whetehr or not she wants to sleep with you, though. Big difference.

Society has turned it into that. By making it illicit, it has become an underworld profession that allows the women to be controlled by drugs and the pimps.

That is what needs sorting out.

*Point, never been with a prostitute, but I think a woman has a choice with what she wants to do with her body. Not have it legislated (it is part of a bigger picture)

it coes down to how you see women and how you value women

If men in a society see women as no more than a way of getting there 'kicks', then we have a serious problem.

What about a man? I assume these laws will also extend to a man selling sex? Will men suddenly become a way for a woman to get kicks?

Its a larger issue. If a woman wants to become the leader of a country she can be. Likewise if she want to become a stripper/porn star/prostitute then she can be. Same rules apply for men too.

And what about porn. Women paid to have sex. Just in this case there is a camera involved. Again, it is the culture that needs addressing, not the women.
