Left Midfield

I would love to stephen hunt in an Everton shirt. Tireless worker off the ball, never gives defenders a moments peace. Just makes a nuisance of himself. A match for AJ while probably better on the ball.
He would fit right in imo........
The hair is shocking mind...:o

I think if faddy goes and tommy goes we will need to buy or get someone in on loan and i think hunt could do a good job for us

Left side is tricky but Ill tell you someone who is going to be an absolute star- Johnny Haynes of Ipswich. Right sided, fast as lightning and can cross and shoot and knows how to track back. 18 years old and would cost around £2m- this time next year that fee will be at least £6m.

Don,t you mean danny haynes

Well im not, Thats why i started a thread called left midfield.

If your more worried about the right then start a thread about it then. If you dont care about the left, dont post here then.

Simple.

Don't be a tool all your life mate. You are starting a thread looking for a left sided midfielder to replace a guy who is a striker (McFadden), and I am saying we have a guy already who plays left wing (Arteta).

But then you are looking for a solution to a non-existing problem. What did we do before Pienaar?

i know this is going to get baged, but i wouldn't mind getting hold of Ross walace from sunderland, he's looked good in there run to the premiership and in the first 1/4 of the season was looking good at premiership level, now he seems to be out of favour, Wikipedia seems to think sunderland are looking to offload him. (not that that really means much) if we could get him for under 2mill i think it would be a decent move.

Don't like the look of Hunt meself, He doesn't eem a step up to what we've got already. Best looking abroad for wingers I reckon, cheaper and better.

Man city got Petrov for the same price that Boro have valued Downing. Granted that Downing is younger there is still no way that Downings ability can be put on a par with petrovs.

If its Danny Haynes your thinking off I'm sue he's a striker?

i think we need a left winger, so we do need him (or someone else for that position) in my opinion, you could probably hope for a more recognised player, if that was the case i would like Matthew Ethrington over downing

Peanut looks quite comfortable in the centre of the park to me, i've read that he would actually prefer to play in the centre, especially when cars is getting rested, assuming Fernandes can play a bit more of a defensive role i think that would work.

Good point.

Ok, I think we should be looking at MGP from Blackburn. He is just starting to lose form this season and his price would drop. But he is talent, world class even. A cheeky little 7m bid wouldn't go a miss.
