Jeremy Toljan
Kieran Tierney
Ben Chilwell
Ryan Sessegnon
Andrew Robertson

Any of these

would like Robertson but he's strongly linked with the dark side...Chilwell/Sessegnon next maybe...what's worrying is there hasn't been much word on the LB front for us...pity that Kolasinic lad chose Arsenal he looks like a tank for starters

Maybe. I'll take anyone other than Baines, tbf.

Should have been punted three seasons ago.
More than a little harsh Dave.....but you touch on a point, namely that he can't keep going as our first-choice left back for another season I don't think. At the very least, he needs an understudy, and given that he's a very clever player I'd be more than happy for him to stick around and impart some nouse into our young and youngish lads

Our current back up to Baines are the 19 year olds Callum Connolly and Antonee Robinson, it's a position we've been in before when Garbutt and then Galloway played LB for a short period at similar ages. At this stage of their careers both have potential but neither possess the extra factor yet to displace Baines , but under someone like Koeman you'd expect both todevelop further. Pre season will be key for both of them , if they can do enough to convince Koeman they will be able to do a job for him , then he could go the same way he did with Holgate last pre season and not buy a new LB. If he does think he needs to spend money RK should go for Kieran Tierney , though he's only a few months older than Robinson/Connolly he'll develop into a fine LB.

Tierney or Robertson look good on YouTube. Here's a good video of Tierney. Not a lot of defending to look at unfortunately.

shame that garbutt doesnt seem to be progressing the way i thought

would like to see us go for bertrand or robbie Brady
