Leeds/PSG

The Premier League is becoming too saturated.

Clubs like Spurs, Arsenal & Liverpool will eventually drop out of the CL as It will be dominated by the oil clubs.

Sadly it also means 7th becomes just has hard to get as 6th now does and any chance of europe is basically gone bar a freak season.

Sad times.

How I see it is: football is now designed to keep the big clubs spending big, playing big and turning over big and there isn’t much room for any new interlopers to mess with the money men’s vision of how modern football is to be. I can’t see a club like Leeds getting bankrolled to the standard of Man City/PSG (not that PSG are particularly big players on the world stage) the changing anything long term but as @Yid4life said it probably will put up transfer fees in the short term. That’s if they ever get promoted like!

I think we’ve all seen that buying your way into the champions league is a thing of the past, there’s simply too much money to compete with. A club like Leeds would need a massive amount of investment to close that gap.

Money will certainly help, but it’s no good these days if it is invested poorly (see Everton)

It needs smart people at the helm to invest the money smartly and bring in a coach who can develop talent (see Leicester City)

I’ve been to Leeds many of times. It’s a depressing place. I can’t imagine Neymar or Mbappe be happy staying in there.

But they'd live somewhere nice instead and drive to work, presumably. Been to the Stade de France? I once had the misfortune to have my car break down in the neighbourhood at 2am. Terrifying.
