Leaving the match before the final whistle

Should this not be treated in the same category as leaving your seat early for a half time pint?

Or coming back late in the second half because you haven't finished your half time pint?

Just saying like............:cheers::drunk::pint2::coffee:

I never ever leave early no matter what, but it doesn't bother me if others leave before the end of the game, it helps me,
the bit of exercise getting up and down. One fella in the Upper Bullens apologised for leaving early, he has just had an operation on his back and leaves a bit early to avoid the rush, so there are all sorts of reasons why people leave early.

I'm an out of towner who goes to games on my own at night games or in the darker months I always stay to the end no matter what the score as I,m frieghtend to walk to the station alone

For me...and I go to pretty much every first team game, whether home, away, cup, Europe in competitive games, Europe in friendlies....I leave when I want. My choice.
If that means I've left early, I have.

But in the case of some shameful performances - incl the Derby last year - that team on the pitch have let themselves down and more importantly to me - that lifeblood of the club, the supporters down. I was embarrassed for them on the pitch. You want me to clap them off the pitch? Get [Poor language removed]. My choice.

It's my club, I'm lucky enough to support them every week and I love them to bits. I've seen more last minute goal chases than most and when we are at it, having a go in the spirit of Everton, I'm there...until the end.

When we're not, I don't. My choice. But that decision doesn't make me better or worse than those who choose to watch until the end on tv, internet or with me at the match. All the best

I think it's acceptable under certain circumstances. My grandad is 87 and has had a season ticket for 40+ years. He leaves early to avoid being crushed on the way out to make it to the outside safely which I think is fine, and being with him for a game is the only time I leave early myself.

the only game i left early was beards ago against wimbledon when they were at their height of anti football, we were 1-0 up, dreadful game, shot off early thinking points were in the bag only to find out they had equalised in the last minute or so. Truly awful day. I vowed never ever to watch wimbledon again, so, I deliberately missed THAT wimbledon game a year or so later.

I'd say I was an exemplary fan travelling up to the Chelsea cup match last year knowing full well I had to leave 10mins from the end to catch the last train. A lot of people wouldn't have bothered at all. Missed the 2nd goal too. What a legend.
