Leaving the match before the final whistle

When, if ever, is it acceptable?

On a spectrum of "Bad fan you" to "Who cares?" - how acceptable is it?

Do you judge fans who leave early? Or are you one of them thinking "If I leave now, I'll just make the train..."

It never bothers me.

You never know know why a fellow is leaving early.

Travel connections, particularly at midweek or Sunday games, must make it an imperative for some people.

Or on an odd occasion if we are going out some place on Saturday night and I am under strict instructions from the wife to be home before a certain time, I will nip out early.

Other people head for the exits in disgust after another goal goes in against us late on

in short, it's a free workd and there is no directive saying one has to sit there until the final whistle ;)

Clearly as you say, if you gotta train to catch its almost acceptable, but if I had my way anybody trying to leave before the whistle is blown should be herded up and send straight to Walton.

What if it is a Sunday service and leaving 5 minutes early means you don't have to wait another hour?

I left after 80 minutes against Arsenal at home last season. I couldn't stomach the side to side passing anymore.

Did you have to catch a train Trixy?

If they live some distance away and waiting for the final whistle would cost them more than hour in time then fair enough.

If they're fuming cos we've played crap then that's barely acceptable.

If they live local and push off early every week then I wish they'd never come back.

I was going to type I wish they'd step in front of a bus but thought that might be judged to be inflammatory so decided against it.

Don't think I have ever left before the final whistle.
No problem at all with people who are just trying to get a head start due to transport problems etc.
Can not understand why anyone would leave a game early just because the team isn't winning, or isn't playing well.

Lots of variables here.

I suggest we isolate them clearly, we can then propose to the everton forum group people to print a list of acceptable reasons to leave early on every turn style.

I love a Monday after we win impressively (albeit after a dodgy start) and the only thing we can think off to fume about is people leaving the game early

It shows all is well in Evertonia :celebrate:

If they want I can text them all the seat numbers of the people who leave early every week.

I notice every single 1.

Ive got 2 new lads who sit next to me this season, they bail at 20minutes to go down for a drink, stroll back at like 60minutes and then leave at like 75minutes.

It honestly makes me fume.
