Two League Cup trophies between 1875 and 2011. You cant begrudge them that today. Made up for them. (y)

Just wish it was us. :(

Some clown who presents talksport yesterday was saying if brum won and zigic scored if would be a crime for English football....

Hope he choked on his Sunday roast today the southern blert

Speaking as an Evertonian, I'm disappointed. I can't see us getting to 6th, so I think getting to the FA cup final is our only shot at Europe. And I really, really miss Europe.

We'd have to win it, mate. Beaten finalists don't get **** any more.

But, I don't think winning it is beyond us, I must say. I actually think that's more likely than us finishing 7th given that we've been up for the big games this season.

Thank you Obafemi Martins. Thank you for making that lying whinging scum seem so miserable.

And I still believe that he deliberately missed that penalty at Goodison when he was with Newcastle after the Emre racism row.

but well done Brum. Not sure how it affects our potential European quest, but it was nice to see, and a good final for once.

I was happy to see Birmingham win, but then it dawned on me that it should be us there.

But I'm always happy to see Arsenal fail, can't stand them.

It was nice to see Birmingham win - I only realised after the match that it'd prevent another Europa League place. I still think we can manage the challenge, we have a game in hand over Liverpool and are just 6 points behind. Say what you like about us being inconsistent, but if we're that close after all the nonsense we've gone through the season, you'd be crazy to think it's an impossible task. COYB

Birmingham deserved the win and fair dues to them.

I wasn best pleased though seeing as us finishing 7th will effectively mean this res will mean no europa league for us.

Great for them to be lookin forward to playin in europe for the 1st time, so wel done to all at Birmingham, except Barry Ferguson, showed his class when Martins scored.
