JUST NO. Why oh we do people seem so content to see our future captain leave? Heitinga is a ****ehawk in my book, he opens his mouth far too often and thinks he's a better player than he actually is. Having said that, a bid of £15m would see Jags gone, I'm sad to say. I'd only be happy with Roger Johnson/Scott Dann as his replacement though.

Vastly inferior in my opinion.

DO NOT SELL PHIL JAGIELKA.

For what it's worth, my 'source' is a guy who I used to go to school with (a kopite as it happens). He was contracted to do some design work for the offices of Jags' agents, and went to a meeting there. Whoever he spoke to there confirmed that talks between Arsenal and Everton are advanced and ongoing. They were advanced to the extent that a poster he had designed for for the offices had Jags in an Everton kit, and they asked him to remove the image and replace it with one of him in an England kit.

I appreciate this all sounds far fetched and tenuous - and I myself feel that way too. Please don't treat this as gospel or accuse me of saying it's a done deal. I'm simply passing on what I've been told - which I hasten to add I am not sure if it's true anyway.

Not that I don't believe you, but a stranger walks into an office, and the office staff hand him newspaper gold information on a plate. If I was Jags, I'd sack the agents for having such big mouths. I haven't the foggiest idea if its true as the sporting life isn't the doyen of transfer gossip. Its not on the sky feed (who i'd have a bit more faith in)but the bitter truth is that anyone can be bought for the right price. If true I just hope we buy sensibly, not these "utility" players, but someone who has a definite role.
