I belive he negotiations for the next lot on currently ongoing. BT rumoured to be wanton more games, Sky rumoured to be wanting more games, and a possibility that more and more games will be moved from 3pm Saturday.

The money is only gonna go in one direction in the immediate future, up.

The money will go up because of the demand and the competition of buyers, however "more" games won't be changed from 3pm. As much as we receive shiploads of money form them, we aren't Spain where each game is scheduled so it can be shown on TV.

. They'll be taking games away from each other. If BT get more games, it will mean Sky will get less, and vice versa. Sky have less games than they used to because of BT throwing some money around and surprising them.

Not every club will have been as fiscally responsible and used part of the money to reduce their net debt significantly.

Personally, I'd have preferred that money to have gone in the playing squad, but I'm not going to groan too much about a significant debt reduction.

We did very well in the transfer market (selling Fellaini, Anichebe and Jelavic for very good fees), and it allowed us to reduce our debt AND invest in the squad. Not every club would have been able to do that.

That's the thing, apparently they are negotiating for more live games. Think there's talk of an 8ish KO on Saturday and Sunday nights, similar to the Spanish footy. I think that's what I read anyway.

A new Sky deal gets signed?

An even bigger deal gets signed.

The sky bubble seemingly is isn't bursting any time in the near future.

The new deal will probably be announced sometime next year.
Talk is Bt will gain alot

We're in the money!
Sell the bloody club dammit...

Personally, i'd be surprised if that happens, very surprised. Some, including myself would say there are way too many games moved as it is, probably most.

As much as I'd love for England to have a weeeknd where the 10 games are playing one after the each from 12 until 10 on sat and sun, I'd hate to have a game at half 8 every weekend.

The new TV deal will be even bigger. For the first time since the Premier League era began Sky face stiff competition for the prime TV slots from BT. They've already blew them out of the water for Champions League coverage, Sky cant afford to lose the main Premier League games. They'll have to bid big when the tender goes out, can you imagine Sky Sports without Champions League & Prime PL games?

As for our figures, great reading. We should for another year bring down the debt further whilst giving the manager abit to play around with.

After that it's time to think long term. Give Roberto some funds and put a chunk aside for a new ground, same again the year after until we've got sufficient funds. With grants / sponsorship / council help we could finally be in a position where realistically we can afford to move.

i'd much prefer an 8pm sat KO than that 5.30 rubbish - you have all the games from 3pm finish and you want to hear all the reviews , press-conferance, football focus/soccer saturday reviews etc. but you can't do that if there's a game on as soon as they've all finished that you want to watch.

this is of course good news (weird how the story's been broke at midnight) - but let's be honest, something drastically wrong would have had to have happened if we didn't record any large scale profits given the TV deal

So one option being looked at by the league and mooted in ongoing talks with broadcast partners is increasing the number of live matches to be sold. That went up from 138 to 154 in the last auction but is still less than half the 380 games in a PL season.

An extra Sunday night slot — like Spain’s La Liga — could be shoehorned into the TV schedule to give BT the opportunity to screen more games, while Sky would at least retain their current share.

The club will not be sold any time soon, massively improved P&L A/C plus Balance Sheet, the prospect of a new stadium - partially subsidised, great manager and squad with realistic prospects of silverware and/or Champions League .

No reason for existing shareholders to sell, other than for a huge premium
