I can't possibly vote in a poll between two of the best centre forwards that I have ever seen.
These two players are Goodison Gods and I count myself fortunate to have watched both them.
Sharpy did benefit from being twinned with, firstly, Adrian Heath and Andy Gray but he had a brilliant first touch and once he put a bit of beef on, he became a wonderful centre forward. They say 'you should never meet your heroes ' but I met him and he was a proper nice lad.
The Latch was my schoolboy hero, what a goalscorer, we had a saying in the 70s 'goalhanger' that was big Bob, didn't want to know outside the 18 yard box but when he got a chance it was in - bang.
My best memory of him is his second game for us at Goodison, against his former club, Birmingham, with his brother, Dave, in goal.
He played up front with Mick Lyons, I was in the Street End and they both scored two. Happy memories.
Wish we had them now.
