I can't possibly vote in a poll between two of the best centre forwards that I have ever seen.
These two players are Goodison Gods and I count myself fortunate to have watched both them.
Sharpy did benefit from being twinned with, firstly, Adrian Heath and Andy Gray but he had a brilliant first touch and once he put a bit of beef on, he became a wonderful centre forward. They say 'you should never meet your heroes ' but I met him and he was a proper nice lad.
The Latch was my schoolboy hero, what a goalscorer, we had a saying in the 70s 'goalhanger' that was big Bob, didn't want to know outside the 18 yard box but when he got a chance it was in - bang.
My best memory of him is his second game for us at Goodison, against his former club, Birmingham, with his brother, Dave, in goal.
He played up front with Mick Lyons, I was in the Street End and they both scored two. Happy memories.
Wish we had them now.

honestly can't pick, two of my all time favourite players, sharp gave the team more around the pitch, Latch was more deadly in front of goal ,but on balance you would have to go with sharpy for his career at the club and what he won.
loved watching both.

I voted for Big Bad Bob as a more traditional dominant Everton centre forward. I think of Sharpy as less of a centre forward but a more modern type of striker who usually played as one of a pair. Different eras, different tactics and Sharp was fortunate in being part of an all-round creative team. I think Latchford could be an effective target man, but in those days his job was to get on the end of things, which he did brilliantly.

Graeme Sharp or Bob Latchford.....

Both were great players but Sharp was the more complete striker imo...

Latchford typical big striker good in the air & good in the box...

Sharp more intelligence & better touch & more of a twin striker...

Loved them both & they fantastic players for us...

I am unable to call it. Sharp much better in build up and hold up play but Latchford was just a goalscorer and easily better in the box than Sharp. I call it a draw

Two great players. Bob's hold up play improved greatly with us - I remember Keegan saying Latch was the best English centre-forward he played with, citing his unselfishness. Even so I reckon Sharpy was the better target man, but Bob was by far the better finisher - god knows how many he'd have scored in that mid-80s team. We never found the right partner for him - incredibly, Mick Lyons was probably the best, a similar grafter to Bob Hatton, who'd done most of his donkey work at Birmingham. I wish Bingham had given Joe Royle a longer run alongside him. Trevor Francis would have been great alongside him, but our board would never splash out £1 million for him! Mick Channon would have been good too, before he went to City.

Overall, my vote goes to Latchford.

Loved them both, but I would go for the Latch for one simple reason. He was the best header of the ball I have ever seen in my life, before or since, in England or anywhere else.

Latch for me !
Crazy selfish choice ,heart before head ,the years I was able to see my heroes in the flesh home and away ,he and Joe Royle
Sharpy scored some crucial winning goals in a successful team granted but I wasn't there so its deflated for me
Latch was the most talented committed C/F who never won a trophy ,equaliser at Elland Rd S/F best header I have ever seen
Both are legends in their own right
