Last Film You Watched

Finally got to Demon Slayer after the subtitles debacle and it did not disappoint as a fan of the series. Visual spectacle, sound design was on point, just enough exposition (that was very required), maybe a touch too long, could have been 3 films but never complaining about anime on the big screen. Started with a trailer for the Chainsaw Man film so need to recap that.

Also saw next month they're bringing out a 4K version of Perfect Blue which is a must watch for any cinephile that loves thrillers.

One battle after another.

Just back from the local Imax… my goodness what a triumph of film. Sean Penn is getting a supporting actor role here, no idea how it cost £150m but it’s fantastic and not once was I thinking about how long it was. Not a bad turn from anybody and a film equally dark and funny as it was gripping and poignant.
Welcome directorial return for Paul Thomas Anderson once again teaming up with Johnny Greenwood back on the score.
Wow.

Wow.

Just back from seeing it myself, so good.

It probably cost so much as he uses IMAX cameras differently to everyone else - I can't remember the difference off the top of my head but it basically means they have to custom build the stands/rigs to hold the weight of the cameras
