Player Valuation: £40m
Arsenal (A) 2-2 Osman, Pienaar
Man City (H) 2-0 Pienaar, Saha
Sunderland (H) 2-0 Cahill, Donovan
Wigan (A) 0-1 Cahill
Liverpool (A) 1-0
Chelsea (H) 2-1 Saha 2

Going into that run of fixtures, I would probably have expected us to pick up 7 or 8 points. 13 points, 3 clean sheets, 5 different goalscorers and only failing to find the net once is fantastic. To come away from the Emirates disappointed with a draw is more than we could have dreamt of.

Moyes has now recorded victories over all of the big four during his reign.

I'm optimistic about the upcoming games too. Sporting are 21 points behind Benfica in the Portugese League. Many of their players flopped in the Premier League, including Pedro Mendes, Sinima-Pongolle and Helder Postiga.

United are beatable, especially without Giggs and Nani.

Spurs' form has been pretty erratic without Aaron Lennon. They've only recorded one league victory in 2010.

Fingers crossed for another couple of wins atleast during February. :D

I've just noticed that we've only been beaten three times in all competitions since the start of December. Those reverses were: when we put the kids out against Bate; versus Birmingham in the cup; and the recent derby.

The common thread is the opposition getting everybody behind the ball and defending deep. If we can learn the art of unlocking a packed defence, we will be able to compete with anyone.

when the tough get going the going get tough. :@

we've got to keep fighting.

That derby crap game and the FA cup exit aside, it's been not too bad, four goals at Chelsea, what an achievement, and we beat them in the return, who cares about any outside interference on their part, we beat them, and scored six goals home and away against one of Europes finest teams, I'm pleased with it.

Add to that a beating of the 'mighty' Manchester Blues, and so nearly getting a first win at Arsenal in 14 years, only to be screwed in the dying embers of that afternoon in north london.

It's been far from awesome, but the performances have been evident, the hiccups came in key fixtures when the side needed to excite the supporters and fell short, but let's push on, and play to our capabilities and see what end of season brings.

Whats most impressed me is finally we look capable of beating the top 4, the last few seasons we beaten the best but lost to the top 4. Finally Moyes seems to be getting the players over it. Looks to me like the players believe they can beat the top 4 were previously they looked like they can't and given them to much respect.

Liverpool were there for the taking, and we didn't show up. :@

We should destroy Lisbon, but United always get dodgy decisions against us.
It's time we showed them that beating Chelsea was not a favour to United, but a warning that they're going down this time round.

Everton 4 - 0 United b)

13 points from the last 6 games is a very good total but as I said in another thread it's those games coming up in the next few months that we are 'supposed' to win that will be the really difficult ones.

I agree that you can't take anything for granted. We've never been short of fighting spirit though. It's quality that we've been lacking.

I think we will do well against Spurs and Utd and draw the majority for the rest of the season, the big man is a massive loss.

I think we can do really well in the Europa though given our ability to beat sides who play an expansive game.

Brilliant month! i said to a friend of mine will be our hardest spell of the season and we have comeout of it very well and the teams confidence is sky high!

I'm a little concerned about sporting with out the mighty jon at the back just heard him and felli are out. Big hole in the team there especially in such a crucial game! I think they are important to us in europe its a different game.

This is the perfect month to show both British and Foreign teams that we are capable of handling the so-called 'big teams'

Alright didn't turn up at Analfield, but to bounce back so quickly against the team to beat and the manner we did it in is fantastic for both the fans and the players. Sporting won'y be happy about coming to Goodison, with the added factor of us knowing how Portugese teams play now.

United are very shaky without Ronaldo, stop Rooney and thats their main threat stopped. Spurs have crumbled under the pressure the last few weeks and with 3 wins on the bounce down south, there is nothing to be scared of.
