Ill be a bit dissapointed if Lars stays, meaning we wont get Naughton. There i said it.
Nah... as Jarvis said. We resign Jacobsen, sign Naughton and sell Hibbert. It's a win-win-win deal

We get two good RB, we get money for a player we don't need, and Burnley get a RB that our strikers can exploit when we face them in the league. (y)

So thats Phil in midfeild then?

I would. He was one of our best players last year IMO. Keeps things simple, can break up attacks, Cahill and Arteta or whoever seem comfortable when he's sitting back behind them.

Naughton we can blood in, take a bit of time like we did with Baines, Lars can do a job at RB.

All else fails at least we have 4 right backs and Jags to cover that position (including Coleman). We can get at least £5mill for HIbbo.

If Lars does sign I think it will be on a promise of being first choice. The plan may be:

Pip as back up, (Jags as emergency additional cover)

Coleman being prepared for the future,

bye bye Hibbert, (y)

and Naughton to Villa :(

I really hope it's Naughton interest that is holding this up too. Saw a couple of his Fizzypop games last season and he looked very promising. SU fans all seem to think very highly of him too. Young, verstile and in a market when Johnson goes for 17 you can see why they think they can get closer to 7mill for him.

Hibbo will never leave, we could probably stop paying him at all and he'd still turn up.

Haven't seen enough of Jacobsen to judge him fully yet, so I'm pretty  about the chances of him signing on again.

Hibbert will be here next season, though I would certainly consider offloading him.
