Lap of appreciation

kiss the crest

Player Valuation: £35m
With tonight being our last home fixture, the players at the end will probably come out and walk round the pitch for their annual lap of applause.

I for one will be staying giving them support as I feel our home games this season have been entertaining for me and my son, it has been the away performances that let us down.

It will be interesting to see what people say about the body language of lukaku and Barkley at the lap of applause, are they off or full of smiles and kissing the badge.

My prediction both will walk centrally around the pitch not too close to the fans, clapping but having a CBA look about them.

Koeman made Goodison a fortress again this season and for that they deserve warm applause during the traditional lap. 12 wins, 4 draws and only 2 defeats including our cba performance against this year's champions (but why did we have to lose against that shower again!?).

The first steps he would've identified is to make us a force at home again to help get fans back onside and also to sure up that horrific Martinez defence.

Looking forward to what comes next now!

The home form has been great and was just thinking how I am still looking forward to tonight, despite it being a pointless Friday night fixture against boring opposition. Martinez had killed the match going experience at Goodison for me last season.

They can do another lap of honour away to Arsenal if they beat the R/S into 4th spot.

It hasn't been a bad season overall. We bottled both cup competitions which was a shame because they are something we should be putting more energy into. Home form has been superb, bit of a slow start in my opinion with Koeman not sure on his best eleven for the first few months but eventually got there and I think we agree with his team selections. Football has been good to watch at home but on the road it has been disappointing. I thought after overturning WBA and thrashing Sunderland away that it would be a good season away from home but that Chelsea thrashing in November set the bar for more poor displays. We were unlucky at Old Trafford and felt we deserved the points, if we look at the games like Bournemouth away, Hull away, Watford away, we could have been sitting in a champions league spot now.

See what the players are like tonight, nothing for them to play for so will probably be like watching paint dry. Give Lookman a go from the start and DCL one last game to prove himself. Schneiderlin will be back tonight I assume so kind of expecting a clean sheet for us and a dire performance from Watford.

This.

It's a 58 point season as things stand and we were knocked out of both cups early.

These players must be pissing themselves when they get adulation for that. No wonder we win f.a. these days.

The last lap I stayed for was Martinez's first season and it was celebrated less than Moyes's the year before.

We put more into it when Moyes left us for Manchester United. What does that tell you?
