Shame we could not deliver this one. We need to slowly rebuild a new back line over the next 2 or 3 windows. Jags, Williams and Baines all in there 30's. It would not be wise to allow them to grow old together

This one might still be on, Sunderland have just signed a centre back on loan from City.
