Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

I meant the whole deal is being kept under wraps until it is completely sorted.

Obviously don't know the ins and outs, far from it, but I imagine it'll be very much out of the blue when its finalised.

Maybe, but it would seem very strange at this point in time if your "mate" knew all of this, but not a single journalist in the north east or on Merseyside had a whiff.

We are already a centre half short (we only have three at the moment and one of those is 34yo John O'Shea) - we were always going to be after a centre half today, if Kone was to leave we would need two.

O'Shea, Kone, Chelsea lad, McNair. Kirchoff can play there too, as well as er, Rodders.

Exactly my point - as Moyes said a few weeks ago, he's been having private conversations with Kenwright.

The club are aware its a sensitive issue amongst our fans, they are striving to get a deal that suits, and only one that suits - hence the lack of rumours. No point in leaking it and causing an hysteria unless its going to happen.

Still no update from my mate. I've given him another text.

Kirchhoff and McNair are midfield players, no way they will play at centre half. The fact that Rodwell has had to play there recently illustrates how short we are in that position.

'Everton wanting big loan fee for McCarthy. We wanting big (more than before) 4 Kone. Lot of politics going on atm - deals not exclusive'
