Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

I really hope we don't sign this bloke.

I hate the way these pampered buggers down tools in order to force a move from a club which gave them a very lucrative contract and just leave a very decent football club in the lurch.

I didn't like it when Lescott did it to us and I am not going to be a hypocrite about it now
Don't disagree... however it is a pleasant change for us to be the club that benefits... things are changing and we've got to start acting like big boys again... unfortunately upsetting other clubs comes with that

Chambers lad from Arsenal, Sunderland enquired about taking him on loan which in turn has got Arsenal to ask about Kone apparently. That's what a Sunderland fan ITK has said to me, might be forcing our hand to up our bid to secure him.

Either way... something's brewing.

In the ultimate shock twist, His Club Sponsors have ended their sponsorship of him today.

Deffo at the Cash Machine with Riquelme.

He was obviously given permission to officially begin talks with Everton at one stage and either Sunderland changed their minds or moved the goalposts which is perhaps why he feels so aggrieved. He has hardly covered himself in glory but Sunderland didn't make him feel very wanted when Everton first made their move.

Sunderland are willing to let him go mate, but Moyes has said Kone won't be going till they've got a replacement in, makes sense at the end of the day for them.

To be honest, Im not really sure we have a need for another CB, unless we plan to play a lot of 3 at the back. Right now, its Williams, Jags, Funes Mori and Holgate, which for a back 4 is really solid.

I might be wrong, but hopefully Funes Mori is not part of the long term plans of Koeman, as he's simply not good enough for this league. I fully expect him to move to Italy or somewhere next summer. That and Jagielka is in his last season or two now.

Holgate is far too inexperienced and lightweight to be relied upon as a central defender any time soon. If anything, he's ideal for right back cover.

We really do need another centre-half, and we also need another creative midfielder, goalkeeper and, most urgently, a striker.
