The feel good factor from today's result can't mask the weaknesses / lack of cover we have in some areas.
Under the old regime, Lukaku staying would no doubt be heralded as a "new signing" but we need other options there as in other areas. We saw the impact Lukaku made today, half fit as he is. Imagine losing him for weeks or months with injury.
I expect the work going on behind the scenes to come to fruition in the next 10 days and put us in as strong a position as we can be. It's a long season. My expectations of the club are high for this period for the first time I can remember. I hope they are in a position to capitalise on this opportunity and it won't be another case of "ok, but could have been better". I have spent enough time as a fan settling for less.

He'll be a first team player if he signs, especially if the reports of him actually being capable of winning a header are correct.
Totally agree with this, Mori is an accident waiting to happen defensively. Got bullied by Rondon and almost cost us a couple of times in the first half yesterday. Kone is a huge upgrade defensively and I'd be delighted with his signing.
he is the only defender that actually looks better in the opposition box, the lad will get you goals but he’ll prob be the cause for just as many throughout that season, i do actually like the bloke but he just has moments where he drifts, think he’s watching the game rather then playing and that rondon chance yesterday was just shocking, i think even he was shocked he got the chance.
