He would be an idiot as it would bankrupt him, it's our Iranian overlord bankrolling things now so I'm cautiously optimistic we will seal the deal on this one.
Relax mate.

Kenwright is the one negotiating for players Moyes and Koeman have both said that. I doubt we'll get him tbh.

Watching Sunderland vs City keeping a close eye on him and he's been excellent. Multiple blocks and tackles closing good chances for city, has pace and good positional sense, goal they conceded not his fault at all. Didn't take much notice of him last season except the goals against us, but I can see why Sunderland fans are raving. Hope we can get this one done

Plus the Sunderland fans were singing, 'we love you Koné'. Going to be hard for Moyes to go against the fans wishes but the fact that he's said a contract will only be offered on Sept 1st suggests he's open to a really big offer before then.

It's a reflection how far we have fallen over the last 2 years that we are struggling to get a player from Sunderland to sign for us. Let's hope we get it over the line this week.

Yeah I know it's as if Man City have just spent £50m on a player who was at Barnsley a few years ago.

It has nothing to do with where they come from, clubs are powerful.

or it's an indication how much more money clubs have these days. He wants to come to us, there's not much more we can do except offer massively over the odds ... but why would we do that?
