What a catastrophe this job has been for both him and Villa. I can't believe either party are persisting with it.

Seemingly the only reason he hasn't been sacked is because there's a disinterested owner at the helm who doesn't care as long as they stay up, that's massively in question now.

Ast-one Nil-down started with 3 wins and a draw - and before Xmas went 5 unbeaten (2 wins). Apart from those runs they have had only 3 draws (all at home) in 16 games - 3 goals for and 30 against.. just awful (twice over). In the PL they haven't scored a meaningful goal since before Christmas (one goal, an equaliser no less, in a loss vs Chelsea being the only goal they have scored)

Just as damning they have conceded the last goal in 18 of 25 games and only scored it themselves 3 times (4 goalless games) (1-17 since their win at Anfield).
