Have you changed resolution at all? Did everything on the screen get bigger (or more likely, smaller) after the windows update? Sometimes having a monitor set to a higher resolution than is "optimal" can make it look a bit crazy.

Update your vidya drivers mate, it's what gives the edges like that. DirectX9 too, as Microsoft .NET framework. Should fix it all.
