I'm not familiar with the accuracy/reputation of UK-based newspapers, but the Independent is reporting that Naughton/Walker to Spurs is a done deal.

If so, bummer. Given how long this saga has dragged out, though, some closure - and a reason to move on to bigger and better opportunities - might not be the worst thing in the world.

(Because I'm a new member, I'm not allowed to post links...but it should appear on a Google News search.)

Everton angry as Spurs snatch defensive duo - Transfers, Football - The Independent

They say this month the deal will be done, it doesnt really tie into what the Sheff Utd chairman said. Yes, thats me clinging on to a faint hope.

gotta have a little bit of hope, its not like the papers are always right, thou it does feel abit of a sickner, like getting kicked in the goolies.

Well if the Sheff Utd. chairman said he's 'closing the shutters' if it's not done on Fri, expect some news soon!

Shoulda known we were dead-in-the-water when he said this.

This transfer is just in the foreplay stage if you go by our transferstandard. :dodgy:

And I was just about to joke about our deals normally going limp.... :(

Was just getting all excited by these two as well. [Poor language removed] utd and spurs, damn my bro for supporting spurs, hope they turn to [Poor language removed]!
