Based on what? The FA youth cup?

Not really.

I really don’t want to have to defend Chelsea but how about in the last 5 years.

UEFA Youth league. 2014/15 &15/16
U18 PL. 2016/17& 17/18
U18PLSouth 14/15,15/16,16/17 & 17/18
U18PL Cup 2017/18
FA Youth Cup 14/15,16/17& 17/18

During that same period Everton’s Academy has won:

U18 PL 2014

Liverpool Academy has won

FA youth Cup 2019

A few points to factor in.

1) Jody Morris was coach of their U18 group during that period. Sky kept playing a recording of him speaking last season re the abilities of some ( not the majority) of this youth out on loan and how he believed they were now PL ready.Him returning to Chelsea will be key for them.
2) Most of the players that won the trophies are in the group of players that are now said to be given a chance. Such as Hudson-Odoi , Tomori, James, Abraham and Mount.
3) Chelsea’s operating model is that once players get to 18ish they are sent out on loan to be tested. Chelsea’sU23 team rarely includes senior pros indeed it’s where the majority of their U18s play their football.

It is churlish to just dismiss what their youth team won indeed the sort of comment that they aren’t all that is I believe naive.

Also the expectations of so many when assessing youth football is often distorted if for no other reason that youth football by its very nature doesn’t feature experienced, more savvy players whose abilities ,in match on field direction , and knowledge aren’t available on the pitch during those type of games.

Senior football is when you see players develop the most as getting a youngster through to the first team in the PL is no mean feat.

Hey it’s highly likely that the vast % of those players said to be given a chance to shine will fail miserably but untillthe6 are given that chance I for one won’t be dismissing the likelihood that some will succeed s easily as some seem to be doing.

They won't be. London press will make it out they will have a "world class" one even though they send them out yearly to play regular football and barely make any impact especially at the level they want.
I was talking even their U16’s etc. yeah they were all genetic freaks like 6’3 and fully bearded at 15 but footballing wise I was thinking some of my school teams could’ve given them a game

World Football.

Modern day slavery is real and is happening right now. Poor Kurt here is forced to toil in the hot sun to the point of exhaustion, knowing that his work will not be appreciated by his owners. Just twenty pounds can provide someone like Kurt a chance to make a short phone call from The Savoy Hotel to call Marcel for help. Please don't turn an eye to slavery, give generously.

Which is the case in point. By missing out the under 23s domestically, they turf them out loan and is where the model collapses as hardly any of them progress even though they're playing more competitive football. Chelsea barely have English youth playing for the under 18s or 23s.

Ill agree there are a good current crop. But let's not believe there's gonna be this successful explosion of youth from Chelsea that will propel them. It won't. It'll be just like most club's where the level could be too high for them.

It's up to the fans to either be patient or turn on them because it's not gonna go 100%. But this is new for Chelsea so let's see what happens when they're 8-10th around Xmas even though the kids are playing well.

Imagine we probably knew this would happen, so iI assume we’ve planned for this and can move onto our next target?
I cant see why everyone auto thinks Everton move is 100% off just because hes back at Training-the club that pays him,and the one he has to go on pre season Training with etc,he may well still come but was never going to be quick, but Everton will have to have a time limit if hes the one they want so they dont end up with no one as knowing us mina or keane will go and get injured-but i still think he may come

The majority of clubs treat PL2 with contempt. Under 23 as a football age group football has no relevance in the modern era , indeed international age group football stops at under 21.

I really don’t want to defend Chelsea but your comment about them not having many English in either their under 18 or under 21s (23s) is none sense.

They have 25 under 18s of which 19 are English and in their under 23 squad they have 33 of which 27 are English

As for which of the current crop of youngsters that they have will progress I have no idea , nor do you, but they already have several academy graduates like Christensen, Loftus-Cheek Cheek , Hudson-Odoi and Abraham who are now full internationals and even Ampadu has gained his first international cap albeit he had little time playing in their under 18s but as they say football is all about opinions

But who's to say a bunch of shady Russian G's showed up to training and instilled a bit of price jacking propaganda into zooms.
