Looks to me that the ref thought he was already on a yellow so that was his second. Probably no point appealing though as it’s Everton, so the refs story now is that it was for 2 yellows in that confrontation

You can't appeal yellow cards Ossie only red.

Typical of the refs in his country that they make a mistake and can't hold their hands up for it. VAR would have meant no goal, no loss and no red card, but apparently this country is too good to introduce something which would actually see the correct results.

What’s the official explanation of the sending off? Looks like Probert only branded one yellow then a red to me, whereas the PL have stated it was for two yellows. When was the first yellow?

VAR would have made no difference. Corner decisions are not reviewed.

Of course it'll stand, it's Everton. Goals on Sunday didn't even question why he was given a Yellow first then a Red as he walked away...

Imagine if that was someone like Pogba, Salah or Aguero... National inquiry no doubt.

Here's a thought, if Zouma doesn't get in the refs face at the final whistle, then there is no card whatsoever, whether yellow or red.

At the final whistle Zouma ran over to the ref and got right in his face, and started having a pop at him, the other 2 officials had to pull him away, the ref then shows him a yellow, followed by a red.
