...lots will depend on the player. Chelsea have him tied down on a lengthy contract but usually if a player really wants a move to happen, it happens. Regardless, it is what it is. I’m encouraged Silva/Brands went for exactly what we needed in acquiring much greater athleticism in our defence.

Why would he be on loan at us and Stoke if he would start ahead of Rudiger? (Who is currently first choice and a German international). I’m not saying he wouldn’t be expensive but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Chelsea looked to sell him.

I don't think they wanted to loan him to stoke, but stoke paid a £7 million loan fee. I think he came here as he was surplus for chelsea this season.
Next season they need a cb, I will be amazed if zouma isn't considered.

I also think we have to be positive. If the lad comes here and does well he will likely get the buzz and want to stay here. I also think, if things go to plan and the young group of players continue to improve, by the end of the season I think we will be close in our performance level to the top 4. Make no bones about it, next season we should be aiming to compete for the top 4 and I think this lad could be integral to that.

There's no way we will be paying that for Zouma mate, look what we paid for Lukaku.
We will get the lad for 30 million. He will not want to stick at Chelsea. Sarri doesn't fancy him. I suspect he's a bit too similar to Rudiger. Big mistake for them IMO as if they'd have keen Christensen, Rudiger & Zouma together they'd have the best back 3 in Europe very quickly.
