Korfball - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Has anyone heard of/played this before?! I joined the UEA Korfball club on Wednesday, went to my first training session in the evening where I played it for the first time in my life (I wasn't very good). On Sunday I'm playing a league match for the 4th team :o

There's a few other newbies playing as well, but my ever thoughtful flat are coming down to support me/laugh at all my inevitable [Poor language removed] ups. I don't even know the rules FFS

Should be a laugh though, I'll be wearing my Everton top seeing as I don't have team kit yet (y)

Wish me luck!!

I can picture me playing that now. An awkward, flailing arm unintentionally touching a buzzem.

haha, yup, the bad part is that you can only mark men when you're defending. So you just have to essentially follow him everywhere.

Having said that in one of the practice games when I was attacking I somehow managed to clatter into one of my female team mates, so the potential is there yes :P

Sign me up Welts.

You have a missus Rodders? Kept that quiet you crafty bugger. Come to think of it, it's probably the lack of advice from here that contributed to your success

Yup nearly 2 months now, which is an unbelievably long time for me! And yes after my last effort I thought I'd go it alone with the GOT lonely heart's club advising me (y)

No deliberate contact, plenty of happy accidents though:D

looks a bit like baskNetball to me, better hope the bakers lad and the butchers lad turn up or you'll have no goals. i'd pick the butchers lad if i were you as the bakers lad spends all day goin' up great big hills, he'll be knackered.
