Some people on here had written him off before he'd even signed, because he's a 29 year old who cost "£6m" and came from Wigan. You can't deny that people had made their minds up about him before he'd even kicked a ball for us FFS.

Yes they did, but I'm not sure how that equates to an 'agenda' again it's merely an opinion. I could say conversely that there were others *ahem* who have taken the opposite stance & have continued to post "he scored 11 times for Wigan" after watching him play like a drain in an Everton shirt....

It's an undeniable fact, that he's been dire so far. From the 'Ramadan' pre-season, to watching him failing to trap a 5 yard pea roller pass yesterday, he's been consistently - MINCE. :)

Also the the performance against Stevenage (I think) when he looked like he had his laces tied together.

Look Zatara, it's clear he's left you in disdain after laughing after we got beat, but try not to use that as a slur campaign against him.

Tbh, I don't reckon he'll do much for us. But I'm gonna let the guy play more than 1 cup game and a few sub cameos before I write him off.

I was seething when we signed both him and alcaraz and got negged repped to oblivion.

Nothings altered my opinion.

Dire in how many minutes? How many full games has Jelavic been gash for now? He's not scored in like 15 hours or something.

Maybe agenda was the wrong word but people have made their minds up on Kone and their opinions won't be swayed unless he does something spectacular. It's the same sort of situation with Naismith, people still slate him despite him being amongst the best performers in a lot of the last few times he's played.

He just isn't mate. Sorry.

How is he? He can't even trap a ball, he can't pass, he can't dribble and he's slow as [Poor language removed]. Kone hasn't shown that much for us so far but he performed well over the course of one whole season in this league, whereas Jelavic did it for about 3 months and STILL people think he's the better player. Jelavic is finished.

Jelavic puts the effort in but I'm afraid he's a bit sh*t. Kone is an all round better player.

If you think kone is better then I could say you have an 'agenda' regarding jelavic.

Stats show kone is the poorer player + looking to the future they should BOTH be offloaded.

As I've just said above. Kone performed at a good level for a WHOLE season last year, whereas Jelavic had a 3 month purple patch nearly 2 years ago. Maybe neither are good enough for us, but Jelavic certainly isn't good enough.

He's the one signing this summer i really didn't like, mainly because of a mixture of his age and the fact he never really impressed me on a consistent basis when at Wigan. But he needs to be given more than a game and a quarter to try and make us eat our words

People have warmed to naismith because hes put the effort in, hes obviously not good enough but he's a trier. Not one of our 'best performers' by a mile.

Jelavic should be sold that much is obvious, kone should never have been signed and the cash from anichebe added to that and we'd have had about 18mil in the summer to sign*better players.

I must admit when you look at it plainly selling Anichebe and getting Kone in doesn't look like good business sense. Martinez wanted more options in attack though and so maybe Anichebe told him that he wanted to be playing every week guaranteed, something which Everton certainly shouldn't have been looking to do, so maybe our hands were tied a little in that regard.

So what you're saying here is, Jelavic scored more in three months than Kone did in a whole season?

Let's be honest, neither of them are exactly setting the world on fire but if you had the ball fall in the box to one of them, who would you trust more to hit the back of the net? I'd still take Jelavic 9 times out of 10 over Kone.

did he have the same white hair when he scored all those goals? can't help but think it makes him easier to mark, its not like a defender going to loose sight of him at a corner or something when he might otherwise peel off.
