Played superbly against Manchester United.

He's got potential, whereas Kone is past his best () and won't get a look in all season.

Give me Anichebe over Kone all day.

Potential?? He will be 26 at the end of this season.
Anichebe is like a poor Carlton Cole, a big man with no special skills. Kone can dribble and his movement outside the box is good.
They're two different kinds of strikers.

Anichebe: 131 premier league appearances and 18 goals.
Kone: 34 premier league appearances and 11 goals

Anichebe has had 'potential' for about six years. Bored of hearing about his 'potential'.
See below.

26 goals in 168 appearances vs 113 goals in 329 appearances.

Once again you display your supreme football judgement

& there's 5 years between them btw, so it's not like Vic is some young 'prospect' ffs.

F me sideways, you're a difficult one you, but I'll persist.

Both players are useless, but out of the two I'd rather have Anichebe who is younger, stronger, has a connection to the club and could at least by some miracle turn into a decent player.

Why would anybody want Kone, who is soon to be 30, has absolutely no connection to the club and isn't able to relate to the club or fans, won't get a look in this season anyway and is already on the decline as a footballer? Because years ago he scored a few goals? Let's bring Ronaldo out of retirement then.

Why are you referring to years ago when trying to argue that Kone is a good player? Next you'll be saying he ran us ragged two times last season!
